Part Two... Repurposing Thrifty Finds....

Hello Everyone!
It's been awhile.
I've been so busy,
trying to keep up with
my Painting.
Here are some of my latest
Thrifty finds, re-purposed.

These are two old shovels...
that I got from my Sister.
The handles are broken off.
So I painted a Snowman
 on the shovel part
 and added some greens.

This is a Piece of Barn Board,
also from my Sister.
I painted a Snowman on it,
Cut a Burlap Bag  apart
and made a Pocket
then stapled it to the bottom
and added some greens.

These two screens are Huge.
5 ft. tall
These were also from my Sister.
I painted Snowmen on these also.

My 2 oldest sons
came to me with a pile of
jeans that no longer fit,
where full of holes
and worse for wear.
I couldn't throw them out.
After looking them over,
I decided to cut the back
pockets out of them.
I painted a snowman on them,
added some greens to the
inside and a piece of wire for
hanging.

And this pair of Bibs
I had in my stash.
I was gonna use them
for a Scarecrow, but never did.
So after studying them...
I decided to paint them.

I Painted a Snowman
on one leg...
Let it Snow
on the other leg...

And another Snowman
to the pocket on top.
Some greens and a candy cane
added to the pockets
and hung from an old
wooden Hanger.

This is an old pan with
a handle.
Also a Thrift Store find.
I painted a Snowman face
on the bottom,
added a some fabric,
tag and a rusty bell.

So this is what I've been up to.
When I'm not at work.
I still need to do a Post
on a few items that I have won
and get my overdue Giveaway
together.
Hopefully next week, sometime.
Have a wonderful
Weekend Everyone!!

Re-purposing Some Thrifty Finds...

Hello Everyone!
I thought that I would share
some of what I have been
 up to lately...
besides the fact that everyone
 here has been sick with
one thing or another.

I was asked to put my items
in a craft shop/cafe
that just had opened up in September,
in a town only 10 miles
from where I live.
I also work in this town,
so I can drop off my items on
my way to work.

After a lot of thinking,
I decided to give it a try.

These Snowmen are painted on
some old window screens
 that I had gotten from
 a friend for FREE.
(they both sold)

I found some shutters at a
Thrift Store for $1.99
(I forgot the before picture)
I took them a part, painted
some black, some gray,
took a piece of chalk and drew
a snowmen and then painted
them. There were 6 of these.
(They all sold)

I found this ugly green and white
child's chair at a Thrift Store
for $1.99
I sanded it down,
painted it Black,
and painted on some Pumpkins
and Welcome.
(This sold also)

Three weeks after putting my
creations in this shop,
my Sister called to tell me that she
rented a small building to
open a Craft Shop.
I always wanted my own Shop...
But unless I win the Lottery...
(maybe I should buy a ticket)
that is not going to happen.
And my Sister always wanted a
Business of her own...
The trouble is....
she lives an hour away
from me....
but I am putting my items
in her Shop anyway...
Now how do I multi-task
and keep up...
and work a full time job.
I think I bit off more than
I can chew!

My Sister picked these
5 suitcase up for me at a
Thrift Store.
3 of them were $2.00 each
and 2 of them were $3.00 each.
So I began painting a few
of these with Snowmen.
I had finished 3 of them...
(All 3 Sold!)

This first picture on the
left, is of a big roll
of Old Snow fence, that
my Sister Brought me.
I cut it apart into sections...
The middle picture is
of the fence on the left
unpainted, and the fence
on the right I dry-brushed red.
I added a skate with some
greens, and a
Winter Welcome sign.
(just brought these to my Sister)

So this is what I have been
up to these past few weeks,
along with me and my boys
being sick, several times over
the last couple months.

And the Dog....
can't forget Sweet Little
"Whisper"
She has a Bladder infection
and she's on an Antibiotic.

I am still planning
a Giveaway for my
200+ Followers,
I just need a little more
time to get caught up here.
Take Care Everyone!

********************************

This is what I sent Linda.

These are corn Bowl fillers that I made.
They are made out of an old chenille
Bedspread, and the husks
are muslin.
This is a pattern from the
Create and Decorate Magazine.

One of my Scarecrows
that I made out of wood.

A Prim Candy Corn
That I made.

The candle mat I purchased.
And for the candle,
I took a white pillar candle and
drilled a hole in the top with
a spade bit.
Dipped the candle in wax
and rolled in a variety of spices
and coffee, the dipped in wax again.
I dipped the tea light also,
then added it to the hole in
the candle.

This is an old, rough board
that I  had in my stash.
I painted it black, sanded it here
and there, and added a coat
of stain over the top.
I took a piece of  fabric,
coffee stained it, and stapled it
onto the board to make a pocket.
I painted the numbers 1812
with black paint, added a piece of
rusty wire to hang,
and stuffed Spanish moss and
Sweet Annie in the Pocket.
(This can be taken out and Linda
can add her own dried goods,
or whatever she prefers
in the pocket.

A Sunflower Journal
I purchased at Michael's.

A Fall, rag stuffed
Pillow tuck That I made.

One of these Pumpkin guys
that I made out of the recycled
lawn edging.

And a Peat Pot Pumpkin.

these wonderful Swaps Amy!
